This is an au where Yang joins the Yakuza within the RWBY verse. Yang, is 28 years old within this AU as she is one of the major members of the Yakuza. She’s gone through hell and back, and knows how to deal with shit. Her life remains somewhat similar in RWBY, though, when she was about ten she was being attacked by a pedophile, she was saved by a Yakuza member. She was then taken into the Yakuza, and has been part of them since she was 10 years old.
Yang keeps her semblance Burn, as she’s always had it. It usually helps her in situations like a power up in a video game. During the 18 years she was gone, she was basically raised the rest of her life by the Yakuza. She never went to Beacon academy and never had to, though the Yakuza did have her get a weapon made for her, which is Ember Celica. She also has a Tanto that was given to her by her mother, it has the same properties as Omen, but it’s shorter, as Tanto are Japanese short swords. The name of the Tanto is Oni.
Yang has not seen her younger sister Ruby since she was ten, so, her memory of her is very foggy. She doesn’t know her appearance, or even remember her name, but she does remember fond memories of her. The only family Yang has seen in her life was Raven, her mother. What she usually does in the Yakuza is collecting money, beating up bad people, which she enjoys the most, and being hired as a hunter for those who can pay her good enough lien.
During her time with Raven recently, Raven ended up dying and now Yang is the spring maiden. She at least did cut off Cinder’s arms, or well did damage to her. She wants revenge and wants to kill Cinder for what she did. Yang now has Raven’s Odachi, Omen, and wields is alongside her Tanto, Oni. She has been training constantly too, to harness the maiden powers and get stronger. She’s planning on killing Cinder when she gets the chance, so she wants to be as prepared as possible.
Yang’s appearance is still the same, though, she has and undercut and keeps her hair tied up. She does sometimes let it down.
